Get to know our quirky team
After a couple of false starts, a group of theater enthusiasts came together in 1999 with a shared passion for the stage. The result was the formation of ENAD—Ekoti NAtoker Dol—with the goal of staging Badal Sircar’s Pagla Ghora. The driving force behind this initiative was Amitava Baksy, joined by Sambit Basu, Saikat Mukherjee, Rajkumar Ray, and Ipshita Sengupta. These five are considered the founding members of ENAD.
The production was a collaborative effort, with valuable support from Indrani Baksy, Mallika Pal, Mridul Pal, Rebanta Mitra, Doyeli Ray, and Swagata Basumallick, who became some of the group’s earliest members. Shortly after Pagla Ghora, Paramita Das and Nirapada Ghosh joined ENAD and have remained key contributors ever since.
Following Chhenra Collage, more long-standing members became part of the ensemble—individuals who continue to be the strength of ENAD to this day, including Debankur Das, Sukalpa Biswas, and Shanto Ghosh.
Whether in the vibrant streets of San Francisco, the intellectual hub of Boston, or the cultural tapestry of Bangalore, our love for theater unites us all. Join us on this exhilarating journey where the spotlight is always on you.
